100 Year Party

This weekend we celebrated Grandma Peterson's 100th Birthday. It was quite a big bash with all 3 of her children, 4 of her grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, 2 nieces and nephews and their spouses. We had a good time catching up.

We had a party at her independent living facility. Many of the other residents enjoyed cake, coffee, and visiting.

Yummy cake!

Amelia made Great Grandma a birthday card complete with lots of stickers!

It was a fun weekend celebrating a very special lady on such a big milestone. In her words, though it's "just another day." Maybe that's the secret to 100 years!

Como Zoo

We took advantage of a great weekend to get out and enjoy the weather and the city. One of our favorite places to go is como zoo. They have a lovely conservatory, Como town amusement section, picnic grounds, and a zoo.

We loved seeing the Japanese garden and crossing bridges.

Looking at many pretty flowers.

"Feeding the animals."

Enjoying a picnic lunch... it was a great day.

Soccer

Amelia is trying soccer this spring. I admit it has taken her a bit to warm up to it, and she is much better at running than actually kicking the ball.

On this particular week, Amelia was "sitting it out" aka a small tantum due to the fact that she did not have shin guards. Samuel went over to get her a "pep talk."

Her team getting ready to go... you can see she was not excited about this night's game.
