Snow, Ice and Tea Parties

This may be an odd post but it is ramblings and various activities from our week. From time to time I come up with a great idea for a post... because I have so much going on in my brain all the time!! I usually talk myself out of writing it, thinking no one will want to read about it so why waste my time. I have decided lately though I think this is why I blog, so I can get all those random thoughts and activities out of my head. Facebook from what I've heard is just short sentences. I'm more of a rambler. On that note of facebook I may be forced to join soon to keep up on the events for my class reunion this summer. We'll see. Those wanting me to join is getting larger... it reminds me of those that tried to get me to watch Star Wars. It just took the right person (David) to convince me and then I did enjoy it.

We have had another fun but busy week. We have gotten several days of snow which have produced some hefty piles of snow in our yard and some great icicles on our house. I worry about ice dams and roof damage but what can you do when you have thawing and melting.

We also have had several fun playdates. Today Amelia had her first every Valentine's Tea party. It was at her great friend Sofie's house and included several other friends from church. I forgot my camera but got a picture of Amelia after we arrived home. She got a yellow rose to symbolize friendship. What a great time!! Thanks Amy and Sofie for hosting us.

Amelia also had a milestone this week and swam alone with the noodles at the pool. We had a downfall mid sesson last time and had trouble rebounding from the fear of the pool. Maybe we are finally having a breakthrough.

Samuel continues to be our active busy boy. He eagerly throws himself into everything. He get into everything and lately loves to climb on the couch and jump off. I'm amazed at what he can find to get into and play with. Electronics are his favorite and he loves a remote and the phone. He is saying a few words... Dog, Ball, Dada and trying to say a lot more. Boys sure are different. We are so glad that he is now sleeping later in the morning.. like till 7 and not waking at 5am like he was for a couple of months. He seems generally more content now too.

Will spring ever come?

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
