Heartwood

We just returned from our annual family trip to Heartwood Resort in Trego, WI. We had a wonderful week of sun, sand, relaxing and playing. Here is our annual group shot from the main lodge. This year we added matching shirts (more on that later). Thanks Mom and Dad for organizing another great week!!

We wasted no time on Friday heading straight for the lake. David tried the slide, while Jim looks on.

Samuel was a bit hesitant of the lake at first, but quickly warmed up to it.

Amelia was much better about the lake this year and enjoyed "swimming" with her life vest on. She even went out to the water trampoline with David and the boys to jump around.

We also got her to go out in a Kayek.

This should have been at the beginning, but shows our van all packed and ready to go. We need plenty of stuff for the week. After all our trips this summer, David is getting great a packing.

This year we did a side trip during one of our days. The tall ships festival was in Duluth (only an hour away), so on Sat. we drove up to see that. Dad and Mom had given each family a bag with some little gifts... matching shirts, games, and lotions. We (they) decided it would be fun to wear our shirts to Duluth. I think it also fit in with the Nautical theme of the day. We did hear a couple of times.. Oh there's the blue family.

Wow, glad we didn't buy the pass to go on the ships. The wait was over an hour long on some.
