Duluth

We recently took a 4 day trip up to Duluth.  The kids had only spent a day there previously, so we decided to enjoy a little getaway.

A view back to our hotel... the suites at Waterford.  A nice suite hotel with great views and close proximity to things.
 Enjoying Canal Park

 Trying out Lake Superior

View of the Vista Fleet from Grandma's Saloon where we had dinner
 View from our hotel room
Running down to see the ships come in :)

 A great sunrise
 Gooseberry

 A little hike

 Split Rock Lighthouse

Amelia taking a picture of us :)

 Stopping at Betty's Pies... Yum

The Vista Fleet... and our Pirate captain

 Great Lakes Railroad

 The Aquarium
What a fun trip!!!

Hi! Your pictures from your trip are fabulous. I love the ones you got of the big ships. I have always found Duluth to be a fun place and I'm glad the kids got to see more of it. I think nautical things are so interesting like the lighthouses, the history etc. I'm sure as the kids get older they will appreciate more of the "boring" signs telling all about everything you're looking at! :o)

The big ship pictures are mostly taken by David (as was the sunset one!!) He was really into seeing the ships come in. He got up at 5:15 one day to watch them. We also made a mad dash from our hotel room the first night to see one come in. We ended up seeing almost 1 a day... it is always amazing though. We really had a great time.
