Treats&Feats...Kindergarten Wrap Up

Amelia's school does not do an official graduation, instead they invite the parents in to see the kids room and projects they have done.  I was set to work that day, but was able to get off.  My mom was down watching the kids while David was in Europe so she came along too.  Amelia's Sunday school teacher Mrs. Brue stopped in to see things as well.
The classroom... Amelia's spot... showing off her projects, writer's book, etc.

Last day pictures... I also took first day ones by here. I will do a comparison for a scrapbook I"m working on.

The year has gone so fast!!  We are so proud of her and the progress she has made.  As was said many times, Kindergarten is the new first grade.  We loved Mrs. Sickman and the way she challenged all the students so much.  I know in schooling these days, you have many choices.  We have been confident and pleased in our choice to send our kids to public schools.  I love that they are having a solid foundation in learning, while also getting exposed to all kinds of kids.  I have gotten to know many kids in her class and parents from the school.  It only helps to build relationships and share what we believe in (when different.)  When I mentioned to Amelia, we would continue to work on her reading and math this summer, she said... "I thought it was going to be a free summer."  We'll try to fit in lots of free time, but we definitely don't want the learning to stop. :)
