The next day we headed off to Sea world (again just the 3 of us). What a great day!! The shows were amazing. My favorite was the dolphin show (see above) and the kids loved the sea lion show. We had a fun relaxing day looking at all the animal exhibits, doing some rides and enjoying the light crowds. After multiple Disney trips this felt like a cake walk to navigate. I made some great memories with the kids... Samuel amazed me with his animal facts (who knew there were 18 kinds of penguins) and Amelia was a adventurer on rides and exhibits. We missed daddy being with us.
Orco Show!!
Dolphin training... what a highlight for me!!
Great memories... the kids were great with taking the pics I wanted
Afternoon snack of ice cream
Samuel's favorite thing was the orco's.
On Wednesday after Daddy's conference finished we headed to the legoland resort in Winterhaven (about 50minutes from Orlando). What a cool resort... lots of lego structures and fun things for the kids.. they got their own sleeping area..
Master builder class-- Here they learned how master builders build all the lego structures around the park and then got to keep what they created. More kids came later ;)
The ground around the resort are beautiful and border a lake. We took a walk around even though the weather was a bit dreary and drizzly.
The pool was awesome!! They had lots of lego bricks that you could build things with.. Samuel (and David) loved it.
We enjoyed the resort, meeting the characters, riding the cool disco elevator and the great buffet breakfast at bricks...
Our day at legoland was rainy (all day!!!) We had ponchos so we stayed fairly dry.. the park was almost empty and we rode the rides we could (some were closed due to rain) many times. It was really cool to see miniland... an area built entirely of legos.
After a full day at legoland we drove back to cocoa beach... this was our view this first morning!! Our condo was perfect and had great access to the pool and the beach. The weather was again perfect and we enjoyed a full day at the beach and the pool.
Trying out the boogie boards (all toys and chairs were provided by the condo owner).
I have could have stayed here all day!!
On Saturday we headed to Kennedy Space center (about 30minutes away). We are a family that likes to do activities on our vacation and pack a lot in ;) It was another full day of exploring and seeing really cool exhibits. This was our most educational trip yet...
A picture in front of the atlantis space shuttle... wow was this impressive. It was amazing to learn and think about how far we have come in space exploration and the goals for the future...
We love our trips to Florida and it is always bitter sweet to come home (especially today when a blizzard is happening.) We cherish the memories we have as a family and feel blessed that we are able to go on these trips.
