Amelia Style

It's time for another Amelia style post.
She is constantly coming up with new ideas and ways of playing that crack me up and test me all in the same breath. Some say 3 year old's have more "tantrums" and I would say this might be true. We have definitely seen Amelia's many moods lately. She also likes to be many things in a day which require numerous outfit changes (or sometimes no outfits at all!) That girl can really go through the clothes! It amazes me how in the morning she will need my help to get dressed but then when she wants to, can change a whole outfit by herself.... amazing!

She is getting better on the potty. We have had several dry underwear days and she is even going into the bathroom on her own. We still have naptime accidents and she does not do as good at daycare or on the weekends when I work. I hope we are making progress.... this is exhausting for me too.

A cute Amelia quote from lately happened one night when we were saying prayers... she said.
"Jesus loves me if there is a moon." So cute. She has had some issues with the moon and so I was touched that she knew that Jesus was with her when she was afraid. We'll have to work on the theology to let her know Jesus is with her all the time (even when there isn't a moon.)

I know this is an Amelia style post but I could not leave out my other very busy boy (especially when he is dressed like Amelia.)

This boy keeps us on our toes and amazes us with his skills at this age. He walks, climbs, and gets into everything. He is funny with a sly sense of humor. I think he will be our musical child as he loves to dance and listen to music (and bang things like drums).

He loves to follow around big sister and copy her (thus the hat?!)

This is one of his favorite spots... the rocking chair. He will climb in and out of it many times bringing new things with him.

I love to look at these pictures and be reminded of how blessed I am to have 2 healthy, happy children. On days when I'm exhausted from keeping them entertained, have gotten nothing done around the house that I want to, wish I had 2 of everything so they could each have one and not fight over the 1 we have, etc, etc, etc I remember that they are only in this stage for an instant and it is all going too fast.
