1st Day of Preschool

Well, the big day has finally arrived. Amelia is starting "school." She has been talking about starting school for weeks and today was her first day. She will be going Tues/Thurs mornings to the Pond Center (a public preschool) in town. We are very excited for this new chapter in her life and all the new friends she will be making.

She was up and dressed by 7am and wore her backpack (princess of course) around all morning waiting to leave. We did not have to be there till 9:30.

Ready to go out the door.

I love the above picture. Amelia posing nicely at the door and Samuel watching to see if anyone is inside. So cute.

Posing by her coat hook

She is fortunate to be in the same class as her cousin and with the same teacher her other cousin had the last 2 years. It will help on the one day a month I work that Aunt Cari can pick up and drop off. The two cousins were excited to see each other.

Today the parents got to attend class with the kids for awhile. The kids worked through several stations and then had free play time.

Amelia's favorite area is the seed table. She loves filing the jars and playing with the millet sand.

She also liked the dress up area

Of course, what first day of school would be complete without lunch out at McDonald's.

We are so proud of how you play and interact with other kids Amelia. We wish you a life time of fun learning. Thursday will be the true test as I drop her off and Samuel and I drive away. Tears will happen for those of us left in the car!

By the way I'm trying to update my background and having a horrible time. I can't get the hearts to go away. I'm trying to do the new backgrounds. I'm now just giving up and posting this as I have to move on to other things. We have our first swimming lessons tonight. Fall and activities are here.
