This weekend David and I had a chance to get away for a weekend of fun and relaxation. We headed to Grandview Lodge in Brainard. We scored a great last minute deal (though we had been planning a get away weekend for weeks!). We got our own cabin, but enjoyed the grounds and amenities of this historic resort.

We went to a local park to do some hiking. The trails were a bit confusing, but we enjoyed the changing colors. It was a bit cool, but at least the rain had stopped.
This is back at our cabin. We were less than 20 feet from the water. Here I'm standing on a dock shooting back to our cabin to show how close it was to the water. What a view!!

The last day we again did some walking, this time on the Paul Bunyan Trail.
It was great to get away, relax, sleep (without kids waking us), eat good food, watch movies, and just be together. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Vesta for taking such good care of the kids.
We loved our "Grand Weekend."
